Well, it's about time to leave lovely Madison. Oostburg enjoyed a great night last evening, crowning Pat as state champ at 171. That's title at least 7 for the Rogers clan, and I'm sure #8 will be following next year. Congrats to Pat and Coach Rogers on an awesome season. The bummer part of the night was the DQ of Cedar Grove's Brandon Garcia. Garcia, a senior, had twice lost in finals, and added a third loss in the worse way possible. Up 8-4 in the 3rd he was DQ'd for a slam. The slam should have never happened as the official should have called potentially dangerous prior to it. That official robbed a great wrestler of a state title, in my opinion. It just makes me sick.
Tonight will be the Night of a Million Nuts in HS Youth Group. We'll be playing a bunch of games that involve George Washington Carver's famous peanut, with some great nutty prizes as well. Our topic of the night will be communion, as we continue our What do We Believe? series. Hope to see you there.

- I'm the Youth pastor at Hingham Reformed Church, getting to spend all my time with middle school and high school students! I'm in love with coffee, Mountain Dew, and well anything loaded with caffeine. I'm a huge football (the kind you actually use your foot for) fan, with Rangers as the greatest club ever. I spend most of my time hanging out with students, being with my wife and daughter, and doing rather pointless things on the internet and Wii. I have a BA from Simpson College in Indianola, IA and an M.Div from Princeton Theological Seminary. I'm currently in my third year at HRC and am so blessed to be working with so many awesome students and adults.
